Job Description:..The Specialist for Pharmacy Revenue will serve as the
operational and clinical liaison between pharmacy, clinical specialties,
and the Revenue Service Center (RSC) to support medication billing
compliance and financial performance across the enterprise including hospital
and professional based billing systems, while promoting and supporting
stewardship initiatives and fiscal responsibility. The Specialist will report
to the Manager, Pharmacy and Oncology Revenue Practice.
Practice Opportunity:
Pharmacist Specialist will serve as an active member, participant and
co-leader for Pharmacy Clinical Revenue Practice Team to identify and
prioritize opportunities to optimize revenue integrity across assigned service
line(s),
Serves as a subject matter expert for medication-related billing
requirements, as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payer
coverage and medical necessity criteria.
Develop strategy and provide guidance throughout the enterprise and Community
Connect partner organizations on all matters related to pharmacy and
medication charging, including electronic health record (Epic Willow
Inpatient) medication record build.
Develops, implements, and maintains processes related to medications
charging, that support the mission and goals of our Clinical Pharmacy
Revenue Practice Team.
Meets regularly with the revenue cycle, finance, and clinical teamsto
promote collaborative partnership and consistent charge capture and meet core
business needs (pharmacy informatics, prior authorization team, clinic
leadership and others as needed).
Supports other system initiatives focused on medication price transparency,
denial/appeal management, access to medications and affordable care.
Has excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and customer
service skills.
Collaborates with Pharmacy andRevenue Cycle Leadership to identify shared
solutions when necessary.
Escalates concerns and success toManager, Pharmacy and Oncology Revenue
Practice as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, with Active License in US
- Hospital or professional pharmacy operational experience, with under
standing of outpatient hospital procedures for drug administration
that require authorizations
-Epic Hospital or professional billing software experience
-Experience working closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize
patientexperience and operational success
Preferred:
-Residency training or related years of experience in the clinical area
-Certified Revenue Cycle Representative(HFMA), Certification in
Healthcare Revenue Integrity (CHRI) and/or Certified Medical Coder.
Vitalware, MS office proficiency preferred
Epic Willow Certification

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate
