Flat Rate: $65.00 hourly

Hours: Full-Time (36 Hours)
Internal Travel Program is part of Intermountain Health a nonprofit healthcare
organization that focuses on person-centered care. Caregivers who join
ourTravel Programenjoy assignments at locations throughout the Western Slope
of Colorado, Denver Metro and Montana areas. All travel assignments are on
14-week rotations.
Housing Reimbursement: If working 50 miles or greater from your home,
housing reimbursable amounts are determined by the assigned site location and
receipts are required to be submitted within 30 days of transaction date.
Scope:
Radiology Technologist responsibilities:
Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or
radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct
patients regarding x-ray procedures.
Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency
Department and nursing units.
Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established
procedures.
Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies and
wiping off tables and equipment ensuring an efficient and clean working
environment.
Protect patients from undue exposure to radiation by using lead shields and
various safety factors.
Prepare and assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and
determining any potential allergies ensuring compliance with department
policies and procedures.
Maintain patient information as needed by purging or updating patient film
jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient
records.
Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings
and tests and documenting results. Contact service personnel and notify
supervision of malfunctioning equipment.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the
ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification
within one month of employment, required.
At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same
age/type of patient population served by this facility or department,
preferred
