Job Description

About the Role

We are currently hiring for the role of GIS Specialist . The person who joins our team on this position will be incorporating geographical features with tabular data in order to map, analyze, and assess real-world problems, and providing Geospatial and Data Analysis solutions internally and for external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map Production: Design, develop, and produce high-quality maps using ESRI and software Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for various applications.

  • Spatial Data Management: Handle and maintain spatial data for accurate geographic representations, ensuring data integrity and usability.

  • Technical Expertise: ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online and Autodesk tools

  • Data Analysis: Conduct spatial analyses and prepare data visualizations to support project goals and decision-making processes.

  • Quality Assurance: Review GIS data, maps, and related products for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and other stakeholders, to integrate GIS insights into broader project plans.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including reports, maps, and metadata, to ensure project transparency and continuity.

Qualifications

- Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS and Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD.

  • Produce drаwings, layouts, sketchеs, mаps, аnd grаphics of enginееring dеsigns using computer-aidеd drаfting softwаre

  • Rеquirеs a good working knowledge of ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro

  • Produce detailed, high-quality cartographic products and accompanying reports

  • Compile, manipulate and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including, but not limited to field observation, digital aerial photography, and existing maps

  • Perform regular quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with an emphasis on technical writing and report generation.

  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to address technical challenges, troubleshoot GIS issues, and propose efficient solutions.

  • A university degree recognized in Romania is required.
