Your role and responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Finance Functional Migration Consultant with extensive experience in Oracle Financial modules and expertise in migrating financial data to Oracle EBS R12. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, defining migration strategies, and collaborating with data migration teams to ensure a seamless transition. The role involves deep functional knowledge of Oracle Financials, data mapping, conversion support, testing, and troubleshooting migration issues.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders to understand migration needs for financial data.
*
Develop and define data migration strategies, methodologies, and approaches for financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
*
Perform data mapping between Oracle 11i and Oracle R12 versions, ensuring accurate and efficient data migration.
*
Provide functional expertise to support data migration developers in designing and building conversion objects.
*
Define and document functional requirements, business rules, and validation processes for financial data migration.
*
Prepare functional specifications for integrations and reports, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.

Conduct comprehensive testing of the migration approach, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
*
Lead troubleshooting activities to resolve migration issues, working closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Provide end-user training and post-migration support to ensure a smooth transition to Oracle R12.
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:

Extensive functional and process knowledge in Oracle EBS R12 Financials.
*
Strong hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Financial suite, including GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM.
*
Proven experience in data migration projects to R12, including data extraction, transformation, and validation.
*
Strong experience in preparing functional specifications for integrations and reporting requirements.
*
Ability to work closely with technical teams to ensure the correct implementation of migration objects and reports.
*
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
*
Strong communication skills to liaise with business users and technical teams effectively.
*
Experience in leading and supporting testing activities, including UAT and troubleshooting.
*
Knowledge of Oracle SQL and data structures is a plus.
*
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Oracle EBS R12 Financials certification is an advantage.

Prior experience working in multinational implementations and multi-entity financial environments.
