Description and Requirements
The Lenovo Solutions Development Team is seeking a highly motivated solutions engineer with a strong desire to learn new skills and technologies.
Your will be a member of a growing global team performing certification, validation, and integration work on hyperconverged appliances based on Lenovo general purpose x86 servers and VMware VSAN.
Your knowledge in computer systems and software, complemented by troubleshooting and problem analysis skills will be key in this role. Troubleshooting work means you will engage with engineers from our internal teams, partners, and vendors, so being able to understand and articulate problems, action plans and provide feedback in writing or verbally is something you will make good use of.
Your work will give you a chance to engage Lenovo and VMware development teams for new products and software releases. You will be working with established products from Lenovo’s portfolio where customers expect stability and reliability, but you will also work with the latest hardware and software for cloud, edge, and AI computing, ensuring customers get the most out of Lenovo solutions in the field.

Skills Required :
We expect you have abilities or knowledge in following areas:
Computer architecture (memory hierarchy, processors, GPUs, I/O, peripherals, etc.)
Troubleshooting, debugging, problem determination, problem solving abilities
VMware technologies knowledge or experience (vSphere, VSAN, VCF)
Strong desire to learn new technologies and products
Excellent written and oral communication
Strong teamwork is essential
Having skills or experience in following areas will make you stand out:
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell or PowerCLI
Experience with BMC / IPMI
Linux or Windows system administration
Network administration skills (network protocols, L2, basic routing)
Experience working as part of a broader, global team
Exposure to Scrum/Agile framework methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
