As Tender Manager within our Romania Team you’ll you will handle and maximize sales and profits from tenders. You will plan, approve, prepare, submit, and follow up on tenders. Additionally, you will manage databases/TME (tender management ecosystem), logistics, contracts, and communicate results, all in line with all 4 franchises’ priorities .

Main responsibilities:

  • Define and own the country tender strategy including segmentation and prioritization of tenders, identifying key success factors to win tenders.

  • Define guidance on tender approach of entire Sanofi portfolio incl. new launches specifically in hospitals/ public procurement.

  • Align and get buy-in of tender strategy with relevant business units and internal stakeholders (Country Trade Head, FBP, Franchise Heads).

  • Coordinates internal Sanofi processes and alignment and any consequent negotiations with tender authorities, technical committee members and customer related administrative personnel.

  • Focus, develops and foster excellent professional and business relationships with Trade Head, Franchise heads, tender authorities in full alignment with Sanofi Trade Committee and business priorities.

  • Liaise with Tender Authorities as well as liaise with Franchise Heads for all tender aspects (e.g. supply chain and related commercial considerations)

  • Prepare contract/tender submissions according to the contract authority’s requirements, in alignment with appropriate internal functions.

  • Ensure all contracts and price/ supply contracts comply with relevant acts, legal demand and ethical standards.

  • Maintain master database of historical contract/tender results, including dates, success status, competitor outcomes and prices to aid submission decision-making and contract/tender submission.

  • Track and maintain commercial conditions for tenders and ensure they are within Sanofi guidelines.

  • Ensure close follow-up of tenders post-award in close collaboration with country Trade Head, FBP, Franchise Heads

  • Liaise with Tender Authorities as key point of contact for the affiliate.

  • Identify and track ongoing policy initiatives at government, payor and customer levels.

  • Assess impact of policy on Sanofi tenders and communicate appropriately to internal stakeholders.

  • Support Market Access and Public Affairs team to develop Sanofi position and action plan on relevant policy changes.

  • Monitor competitor activities and strategies; discuss with relevant brand teams and cross-countries and incorporate into the affiliate strategic plan.

  • Coordinate with Trade Head to develop strong understanding of each tender account and identify decision making process and stakeholder perspectives.

  • Coordinate Sanofi interactions and any consequent commercial negotiations with tender authorities, technical committee members and customer related administrative personnel.

About you

  • Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years previous tender experience, in healthcare industry

  • Demonstrated experience of effectively coordinating and influencing hospital tenders processes across different customers and GBU;

  • Demonstrated experience in Direct Hospital Tenders;

  • Knowledge of all technical and procedural aspects of tenders, including contract management / commercial

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s qualifications are essential, preferably in Business/ Commerce/ Economics/ Marketing

  • Skills & competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrates intercultural adaptability and sensitivity.

  • Strong project management and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous and problem solving skills.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Experience in working in a collaborative environment.

  • Integrity, tenacity and adaptability in complex situations and an often-changing environment; able to handle pressure and commit to and respect deadlines.

  • Loyalty and confidentiality.

  • Capacity to perform highly both individually and within a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specially Word, Excel and Power Point;

  • Languages : Fluent English and Romanian
