Citigroup Junior Accounting Analyst in Budapest, Hungary

We are looking for highly motivated junior individual to strengthen our Account Receivable and General Ledger (AR/GL) group in the role of a Junior Accounting Analyst.

AR/GL group performs variety of activities across three products, such as general ledger, account receivable and reporting for multiple EMEA countries.

In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Update cash and sales book; post general ledger and accounting entries for an Operations unit.

  • Book non-standardized activities in general ledger

  • Prepare financial reports and perform proofs of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain statistics on volume variation by product for an operational unit.

  • Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information.

  • Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions by applying acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.

  • Communicate with diverse audiences through the exchange of information in a concise and logical manner.

What we’ll need from you:

  • 0-2 years of experience in multi-national, shared services or other company

  • Accounting related studies or experience on accounting field are desirable

  • Advanced written and spoken English

  • Good user of Microsoft Excel and basic command of MS Suite

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and strong work ethic

  • Flexibility, sees challenges as opportunities and goes extra mile to resolve problems

  • Highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, able to prioritize

  • ACCA qualification is an advantage
