Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an experienced Supplier Development Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with suppliers, co-workers & customers.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead supplier development projects to drive key suppliers to targeted quality performance levels.
Train supplier to achieve system level root cause and to implement long term corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrence of quality rejects
Ensure supplier quality and performance data is available and accurate at all times for suppliers in their category.
Communicate, implement and assure proper execution of the Supplier Quality Manual, Danfoss global standards, tools, and templates for each supplier and/or project in their category.
Evaluate suppliers systems and train implementation of system level changes to meet Danfossrequirements and expectations
Responsibility for Supplier Development and Reporting, Change control, SupplierAPQP/PPAP and Claimshandling
Evaluate failures against the part specification and Danfoss requirements
Control that containment, root cause, deviations or concession, corrective and preventive actions are implemented, verified and validated via 8D report
Facilitate meetings and supplier visits as needed to align and resolve issues
Implement CSL 1 and/or CSL 2 at suppliers as needed
Ensure supplier identifies and implements long term corrective actions on occurrence, non-detection and systemic level
Ensure PPAP documentation is updated (PFMEAs, Control plans, etc.)
Be in charge of Audits and Supplier approvals

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
5+ years’ experience in parts development, quality assurance of Electrical / Electronic products
Component, PCB fabrication (Fake components)
Knowledge of Standards (IPC, J-STD, ATEX)
DFM/DFT (Valor, test ways, etc.)
Production machines (AOI, SPI, Printers, ICT/FCT/FP, P+P, Reflow, Wave, Coating, depanelization)
Environmental effects and Electrical Static Discharge (ESD)
Schematic electrical blueprints
Basic understanding of programing micros and software
Electrical life testing (EMC, HALT, vibe, corrosion)
Cable harness awareness/knowledge
Cultural Awareness
Cross Functional Awareness
Product and Process Knowledge
