The Director of Talent Strategy is responsible for overseeing tactics and initiatives relating to recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement and retention. In collaboration with center leaders, this role will work to build talent strategies which align with the department/program needs. Such strategies include, but are not limited to, recruitment strategies, employee/leadership development programming and the development of tools and processes in the disciplines of performance management, job description management, succession planning, talent assessment, coaching, development planning and competency identification to develop staff to address current and future business needs.

As part of the essential functions of this role, the Director of Talent Strategy:

  • Develop strategies to acquire new and develop existing talent so there is a pipeline prepared and deployed to meet the needs of the business.

  • Responsible for the oversight of all recruitment processes and candidate experience.

  • Responsible for some direct recruiting and sourcing of higher-level positions.

  • Advise hiring managers on methods for filling positions, and closely monitoring the days to fill a position.

  • Develop and oversee effective external sourcing and recruitment strategies.

  • Develop effective relationships throughout the organization and the talent acquisition community.

  • Create policies that support the organization in successful talent management.

  • Act as super-user of applicant tracking system, administering HR and hiring manager access, maintaining oversight of current versions of documents, job descriptions, screen questions, communication templates, etc.

  • Work with center leaders to develop annual workforce plans that identify openings, anticipated changes in key skill sets needed, anticipated turnover and desired organizational changes and plan for how those needs will be met.

  • Develop, implement and monitor organization wide training programs.

  • Plans, develops and delivers professional and leadership development programs.

  • Assesses quality, content and effectiveness of trainings including course design, instruction, and program evaluations, training materials and learning reinforcement in achieving organizational objectives.

  • Collaborates with Center leaders to build and drive successful talent review processes and create succession and development plans.

  • Assesses the employee on-boarding experience.

  • In concert with the Evergreen Health’s marketing team, creates brochures and training materials. Creates multimedia visual aids and presentations using a variety of software applications.

  • Evaluates the needs of the organization and plans training programs accordingly. Works closely with supervisors to assess, develop, implement and improve staff training that is individualized for the various departments.

  • Ensures accurate submission and review of background checks for new hires and internal transfers, as appropriate.

  • Manages and maintains a system for job description review and storage, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

  • Assists with performing compensation analysis for positions, as requested, by performing research and utilizing tools and resources available.

  • Assists with the development and implementation of HR strategic plans.

  • Prepares regular reports for the Executive and/or Management Team as necessary or requested.

    Qualified Candidate will be a have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred). The candidate will have at least five (5) years of human resources leadership experience, with strategic, talent management and/or business development experience highly preferred. The candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have an HR certification. The candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills, and an ability to meet deadlines. The candidate will be a problem solver and will have the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately. They will demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the issues that underserved populations, people living with HIV and people who use drugs, including health disparities that affect people of color at a disproportionate rate.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with five (5) years of experience in human resources leadership. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.

    Preferred Education/Experience: Master’s degree in a related field, HR certification
