The Human Resources Generalist, Learning & Development supports the professional development and learning programs that are business-focused, efficient, and thoughtfully designed to help our professionals be their best at every stage of their career. Working within the Human Resources Department, the Human Resources Generalist, Learning & Development actively develops professional development, learning and training programs focused on aligning learning and development solutions with the organizational performance management results.
The Human Resources Generalist, Learning & Development supports activities associated with a variety of tasks such as Intern program coordination, tracking training completion, and various administrative tasks that are common to an HR Department.
Primary Responsibilities
Organizational Development
Provide critical administrative support while taking on more advanced responsibilities in the design, delivery and management of learning and development initiatives.
Manage end to end coordination of learning programs, including internal systems, vendor coordination, scheduling, tracking, reporting, and analyzing effectiveness.
Register, track attendance and completion of a variety of training programs and follows up as necessary with staff to ensure compliance. Plan logistics and processes for learning events and provide project support for learning & development activities.
Conduct, facilitate and/or monitor HR-related training such as but not limited to EEO and Workplace Violence Prevention and the full suite of annual mandatory trainings, inclusive of scheduling, enrollments, delivery, and compliance tracking.
Address needs related to learning programs, the employee learning management systems, troubleshoot where possible, and direct employees to the appropriate resource as needed.
Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Develop, plan, execute, and operationalize learning and development programs, including mentorship, leadership development, and “Learning Tuesdays,” and track the delivery processes.
Support the design, implementation and oversee programs focused on developing and applying relevant workplace skills and competencies, as defined in the HR Roadmap.
Assist in the creation and development of various learning programs and training experiences, to help staff develop the capabilities and knowledge identified in the performance management process and/or mandated by regulations. Research training vendors within our contracting framework as required including managing solicitation and selection process.
Work with the HR team to identify and pursue opportunities to streamline learning processes, leverage the full power of automated learning tools, update development processes or operating procedures, and creatively update learning & development programs focusing on the highest-value activities.
Support the various stages of the internship program, including onboarding interns, establishing touch points, and coordinating the end of summer cohort intern presentations.
May provide supervision to Intern(s) to support Learning & Development function.
Governance
Keep current with mandated professional development plans, trends and learning opportunities. Assist in coordinating training budget and initiatives to ensure development opportunities are provided across the organization.
Build positive, collaborative partnerships among business units to communicate a holistic approach to career development and encourage a culture of learning.
Collaborate with various HR Team members on other subject areas within HR, including recruitment, policy development, compensation, benefits, recognition, and the employee life cycle.
Use critical thinking skills to identify, research, conduct data analysis, and recommend solutions to complex problems.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or related field and 5 years of work experience, with at least one (1) year of proven training program development from concept to delivery. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and professional education software
Ability to quickly learn the organization’s learning and development programs.
Technology savvy with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Familiarity with learning and development delivery systems.
