The Manager, Financial Systems is responsible for the management and maintenance of New Era’s financial systems, which include software and processes used to manage income, expenses, and assets. The Manager will work closely with IT and Finance professionals and is expected to have strong experience in IT and Finance functions. The Manager will collaborate with both Finance and IT professionals in continually shaping and reshaping the Financial Systems landscape, including driving the delivery of financial analysis, dashboards, and reporting. Managing the systems will range from maintaining the functionality of the systems, including the highest levels of data integrity through strategic planning, and business process engineering.
Responsibilities
Analyze systems: Review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies to improve them
Work with teams: Collaborate with functional managers and cross-functional teams to define business requirements, identify system issues, and plan projects to address them
Manage systems: Oversee the functionality of systems related to the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, electronic payments, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
Maintain systems: Manage updates, enhancements, integrations, and testing for the systems
Manage vendors: Work with system vendors to manage contract renewals and negotiate service level agreements
Manage data: Ensure the integrity of the data and interoperability of the systems, including updates to masterdata and system tables
Lead projects: Provide leadership for new system implementations and automation projects
Training: Supervise and train financial systems administrators and end users
Keep all sensitive matters confidential

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Project Management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, and drive decision-making
Ability to identify gaps and propose adequate solutions
Strong understanding of enterprise level Finance operations
Familiarity and strong understanding of Finance/Accounting, Procurement, Revenue practices and related systems
Experience collaborating cross functionally to implement new systems and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to build slide decks and present information to key stakeholders
Highly self-motivated, driven, with a strong work ethic
Highly observant with great attention to detail
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business/science required
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience working in Financial Systems required
Experience conducting and driving meetings with business partners, stakeholders, etc. required
Experience working in ERP (SAP), Data Analytics (Tableau, BI, SPS Commerce, etc.), and other Finance systems and processes (especially Alliant) is preferred

The salary range for this posted position is $80,000- $100,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
