About this Role
The ComTran Group, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for aSafety Directorto join our team in Buford, GA.
As the Safety Director at The ComTran Group, you're key to our team's safety in providing a full-service of infrastructure construction services to some of the top energy and communication companies in the Southeast. Our extensive experience includes working in a vast array of environments, from hospitals, universities, industrial plants and airports; to sports stadiums and many more.
What You'll Do
Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills
Inspects or evaluates workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and maintain working relationships with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants and sub-contractors
Evaluates Health, Safety, and Environmental education and training programs
Performs analysis of HSE statistics and metrics to proactively monitor safety performance.
Evaluate trainers and provides critical feedback and coaching
Assists in developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
Provides support on sensitive/critical projects
Develops, maintains, and presents Health, Safety, and Environmental Training Programs
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Bring
A college degree is preferred but not required. Emphasis on qualifications that support a deep understanding of safety management in telecommunications, construction or electrical fields.
Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications, electrical and/or construction industry with a strong background in safety practices and protocols.
An active certification of CSP, ASP, GSP, CHST, OHST, CUSP, or CSHO.
OSHA 500 Authorized Instructor Certification along with First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification.(would be a plus)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Must be able to advocate for safety and influence a culture of safety-first throughout the company.
Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
