Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team in Burbank, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and providing exceptional patient care. As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Assist pediatricians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
Administer vaccinations and other medications as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Provide patient education and support to families regarding medical procedures and care.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, and managing patient records.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus.
Previous experience working in a pediatric or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
