Posting Summary

Foster campus-wide resources/systems that prepare career-ready grads who are curious, courageous and confident. Engage faculty, staff, students, alums and employers in industry-themed interest groups to facilitate connections to people, opportunities and resources. Mentor and direct student Peer Leaders in service of these goals. Develop, deliver and evaluate a “signature offering” relevant to the industries and culture of interest group/s. Co-create programs and resources with faculty, employers and alums – as opportunities arise. Through group sessions, regular communications, and online tools, educate students on how to leverage the interest group networks; coach them in developing an awareness of their values, interests, skills and competencies; guide them in finding and pursuing relevant experiences and expanding their networks; teach them how to produce effective application materials and engage in strategic job/grad school searches. Actively advance equity, diversity and inclusion. Support the mission, vision, and values of the Career Center and the University.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Master’s degree in higher-education or related field and two years’ experience required. Effective skills in relationship building, program development and facilitation, communication/promotion, coaching/counseling, and event planning required. Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment required.

Desirable Qualifications

Cross-cultural communication, knowledge of career theory, employment trends, strategies and career paths. Experience with pre-law advising highly desirable.

Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)) 63100.00
