SEGs Information Tech Professional
The Plant & Soil Science department at the University of Vermont is
seeking an SEGs (Serious Educational Games) Information Tech
Professional to facilitate software development in the domain of serious
gaming with Unity and Unreal Engines. Responsibilities include high
performance computing and data base management implementation to
accomplish the goals of federally funded research projects; using
judgment in determining work priorities; administration of operational
and technical processes/procedures; assisting in the coordination of
server and host operating systems; and monitoring system security.
Additional duties include coordination of support activities to assist
in the implementation of procedural and system enhancements, solutions,
or modifications; assisting in the preparation of documentation;
compilation of administrative reports related to protocols and
procedures; and functional supervision to designated employees and/or
affiliates.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related
field and one to three years of experience in C#, Unity/Unreal
Development, High Performance Computing, and database management are
required. A background check required for this position.
