WHAT YOU'LL DO: The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for fostering positive relationships between employees and the Credit Union. They are the main point of contact for employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment in line with company policies and legal regulations. They will provide guidance to management on employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and develop strategies to promote a positive work environment. Additionally, they will ensure organization compliance with employment laws and regulations and complete annual reporting and updates as needed. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm at our Burnsville Administrative Office; exempt. In addition: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous HR Generalist experience, to include 2+ years of employee relations experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Effective communication skills, including formal presentations. A collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility and partner with internal customers and co-workers. Ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to exercise good judgment. Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Organized, detail-oriented and analytical. Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to create manuals, spreadsheets, and graphics, if applicable. Ability to manage change effectively and efficiently. A reliable vehicle for local travel. Maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions. Ability to pass all pre-employment drug test and various background checks. Responsible for regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.
