Job Title: Project Cost Analyst

Duration: May 27/24 to May 26/25

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours

Locations: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in-office) – Calgary AB, T2P 3L8

Duties & Responsibilities:

Our client is embarking on a large integration program and is seeking a cost analyst to join the program PMO team. The individual should have experience in supporting large projects and managing project resources, timesheets, and other costs and dealing with complex systems and working in cross functional teams, including:

• Working with project managers and program coordinators to manage resources templates and weekly timesheets.

• Accountable for timesheet compliance tracking and any resulting resolution requirements

• Managing invoice coding and routing to approvers

and aligning costs to Statement of Work/Contracts

• Managing project and task codes in ERP Projects Module

• Monitor day-to-day, weekly and monthly financial outputs, including vendor, timesheet and labour variance reporting and tracking.

• Working on forecasting and monthly close processes and updating program forecast models.

• Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations

• Liaising with various company departments, as required.

• Proactive problem solving of day-to-day challenges in work area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Required):

• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate project resources and costs.

• Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions.

• Requires a high level of discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external contacts, and confidential or sensitive information.

• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible and related experience in support of program management

• Understanding practices for project/cost control and reporting.

• Ability to work independently, with guidance only for complex situations.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI

Preferred :

• Highly motivated, positive and professional

• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

• Ability to demonstrate initiative and decision-making within scope of responsibility.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal)

• Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals.

• Strong team player collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.

• Experience working with others on a global basis.

• Power BI experience to use existing models.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP

• Preference given to candidate with experience supporting large IT projects.
