What will I be doing in this role?
The Senior Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategist will drive search optimization for both web and mobile. This position will own SEO strategy and be part of the day-to-day execution and maintenance, including keyword research, analysis, portfolio management, and opportunity analysis. They will work closely with the development teams and key stakeholders to communicate technical details and explain tactics and execution. The Senior SEO Strategist will be responsible for the ongoing reporting of performance and evolution of the SEO strategy to achieve KPIs and align with Cedars-Sinai's vision and mission.
Qualifications
Department-Specific Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
•Search engine optimization strategy development – technical, content, and linking
•Lead Listing management, online reputation management. Partner with the Marketing team to align on SEM/SEO strategy
•Collaborate with multiple teams to build user-friendly products optimized for search; serve as SEO expert for digital product, strategy and marketing teams
•Independently conduct optimizations focused on improving on-site organic targeting
•Own strategy and day-to-day execution of local SEO implementation
•Perform keyword and search trend research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities; educate writers and editors on implementation. Collaborate with Paid Search team on efficient strategy and tactical implementations
•Work with dev team to implement technical SEO best practices
•Conduct site-wide SEO audits
•Spot errors in page code and recommend corrections
•Review new and existing page templates for optimization purposes
•Serve as an in-house expert, advocating for best practices and educating colleagues
•Keep pace with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and development.
•Utilize reporting and analysis tools to generate reports that track and communicate the business impact of SEO initiatives
•Site architecture, including navigation, URL structure, hierarchy, and internal linking
•Review of header elements including proper use of title, meta, canonical, schema, and other tags
•Website crawl errors, accessibility, and indexation issues with actionable recommendations
•Robots.txt file review and creation
•Server response codes and page load time review
•Audit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript optimization
•XML Sitemap review and creation
•Review of redirects to ensure proper funneling of link equity
•Industry and competitive assessment, including influencer identification and outreach strategy
•Keyword research and mapping
•Backlink audit, risk assessment, and development of long-term strategy
•Content assessment, editorial calendar creation, and page optimization recommendations
•Website usability and User Experience assessment and recommendations
•Mobile SEO Analysis and recommendations
•Social media integration strategy within website and content
•Google Search Console review, analytics benchmarking, and growth projection models
•Ongoing technical monitoring, indexation, and rankings performance
•App store optimization (ASO)
•Landing page and new page creation/project management of SEO and technical requirements
•Ongoing review of reporting, analysis, and strategy
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Leadership/Management, Business or related field required.
Masters degree in Healthcare Leadership/Management, Business or related field preferred.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) preferred.
Two (2) years of prior management or related experience including leadership coaching and mentoring experience required.
Three (3) years prior consulting, strategy, and/or business development experience in healthcare organization or consulting organization providing services to the healthcare industry; or equivalent experience required.
