Job Description
SENIOR ANALYST, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND MARKET INSIGHTS, Resource Development, to engage in market research, consumer and donor behavior analysis, financial and trend analysis, surveying, benchmarking, and goal-setting scenario planning related to campaigns, fundraising programs, peer benchmarking, campaign feasibility analysis, economic conditions, and the nonprofit sector and philanthropy as a whole. Will serve as a subject-matter expert and resource for creating bespoke special reports, white papers, and presentations.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; five years’ experience within a complex, nonprofit, fundraising strategy setting, preferably in a higher education organization; excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, analytical, time management, project management, presentation, and written and oral communication skills; experience and fluency with market research techniques, querying and analyzing complex data sets, and engaging in financial, trend, and descriptive statistical analysis techniques; mastery of technical writing and the visual and written presentation of information; attention to accuracy, quality, and time sensitivity; comfort with highly academic, scientific, and/or technical materials; tact and discretion with confidential information; Microsoft Office fluency; proficiency with analytical software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or their equivalents); understanding of relational databases, philanthropy and fundraising news, research databases, and online resources to conduct related queries and data mining; and ability to become proficient in new technologies/systems. Must be able to transform data into clear, actionable, customer-centric insights supporting strategic initiative planning; design report layouts and collaborate on extracting information and creating custom reports from databases and dashboarding systems; manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; work independently; and collaborate with others as part of a team.
