Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Lead Program Managemer to work out of the Camden, AR or our Huntsville, AL location. The selected individual will reporting to the Director of Programs,. Will manage various elements of the program(s), which include defining and controlling program scope, developing and supporting updates of schedules and budgets, and act as primary contact for assigned elements. The Lead Program Manager will ensure, through the assigned program team, that contract performance responsibility is properly delegated to performing organizations and outside suppliers.

Essential Functions

  • Provide management and leadership of assigned program teams in execution of the program plan for assigned program elements.

  • Interface with support organizations to ensure program tasks are scheduled, on-track and properly staffed

  • Establish detailed program plans including schedules and budgets and support updates to them throughout the duration of the program

  • Build team(s) that are goal-oriented and focused on success

  • Prepare proposals

  • Support BOE development, fact finding and DCMA/DCAA audits

  • Prepare reports/briefings to segment management and the customer on program schedule and financial performance

  • Support the overall business/technical relationship with customers and prepare contract change proposals when appropriate

  • Support department and company improvement initiatives

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior program management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior program management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior program management experience.

  • Knowledge of project management within the framework of Program Planning, Program Control (Earned Value), and Program Execution

  • 3+ years of experience planning, prioritizing and delegating work assignments

  • Ability to provide technical and administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of product development and manufacturability of affordable products

    Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills

  • Ability to communicate, bith verbally and in writing, with technical and non technical professionals at all levels

  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical and non technical presentations

  • Knowledge of solid propulsion

  • PMP certification
