IHG Event Coordinator- National Convention Centre in Canberra, Australia

We're seeking an exceptional Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a pivotal player in the industry, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating events that leave lasting impressions. Join us as we craft extraordinary experiences and redefine event excellence.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Event Planning and Event Managers

  • Conduct research and generate reports

  • Manage administrative duties

  • Coordinate event logistics

  • Maximize revenue

  • Foster stakeholder communication

  • Cultivate a supportive work culture aligned with our five Winning Ways: Do the right thing, Show we care, Aim higher, Celebrate Difference, and Work better together.What We need from you:

  • Proficiency in KPO’s

  • Familiarity with P&L (Profit and Loss) and Budget management

  • Ability to interpret and utilize client survey scores effectively

  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining 100% accuracy in databases

  • Experience with Delphi/Opera software is advantageous

  • Strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration

  • Effective time management skills

  • Exceptional customer relations abilities

  • Proven problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism or related field

  • One year’s experience in a customer service or similar roleAlternatively, extensive on-the-job experience and training may substitute for a degree
