Delaware Basin Overview:

Spanning West Texas through Southeast New Mexico, ConocoPhillips holds approximately 709,000 total net acres in the Delaware Basin, which includes approximately 699,000 unconventional net acres. ConocoPhillips began exploring and appraising the basin’s stacked pay potential in 2012 and has gained extensive technical expertise to optimize development. Entering 2023, the company now operates over 2,800 wells throughout the Basin.

In 2022, the company operated an average of 10 drilling rigs, including one electric rig, and 153 new operated wells were brought online. Net production in 2022 averaged 321 MBOED.

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Crude Oil Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and coordinating the transportation and distribution of crude oil from production sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of logistics, measurement, state and federal regulations and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This is a Safety Sensitive position and will be 35% to 45% field based.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Schedule all lease purchase, relief carrier and hand run crude logistics in the Delaware Basin

  • Support operations with resolving deferment issue due to various oil takeaway issues

  • Witness live carrier loading, measurement and vapor control procedures for measurement accuracy and regulatory compliance

  • Conduct periodic carrier site visits for measurement compliance and training

  • Liaison with commercial and operations to address carrier related takeaway, ticketing, measurement and compliance concerns

  • Responsible for rationalizing, aggregating and reporting logistics data to various stakeholders

  • Schedule water logistics

  • Review carrier contracts for compliant measurement practices and provide feedback to the commercial team

  • Ensure all logistical activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments

  • Coordinate and participate in BLM truck witnessing

  • Support marketing with onboarding new truck purchasers and carriers

  • Work with various support groups to enhance the L48 logistics tools for scale and efficiency

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

  • Current/valid driver's license

  • 5 or more years of crude oil transportation experience

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP, SAP-PM, GIS

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 7/7 daytime schedule

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 25% on a yearly basis

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work outside in harsh weather conditions

  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

Preferred:

  • 10 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Strong understanding of crude oil transportation methods, including pipeline, truck, and hand-runs.

  • Direct experience with Federal or State Transportation and Measurement regulations

  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined

  • Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement

  • Ability to set and achieve goals, manage priorities, and complete projects with limited supervision

  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments

  • Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended

  • Ability to collect accurate and meaningful data and extract trends and useful information to help improve operations

  • Understands work logistics management, planning, and scheduling
