Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and Functional Support - Carmel, Indiana (Onsite)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and Functional Support to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management, and driving financial analysis across the organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis processes. Additionally, you will support executive functional leaders in development, management and forecasting of their spend aligned to their strategic initiatives.

This role will also collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, and Financial Reporting to support quarterly earnings presentations, external investor and rating agency presentations, and SEC filings. Reporting to the VP, Financial Reporting & Analysis, this role also frequently interacts with the CFO and other senior leaders.

What You Will Do:

  • Direct and manage the corporate financial planning and analysis team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables

  • Assess, develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and accuracy

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics that align with strategic objectives

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making and drive business growth

  • Collaborate with corporate functional department leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets

  • Monitor and analyze functional spend against budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying areas of overspend or cost-saving opportunities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and reporting capabilities

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the financial planning and analysis team

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CFA designation is a plus

  • 10 years minimum experience in a similar role, with a track record of success in financial planning and analysis

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis techniques

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements

  • Proficiency in financial planning and analysis software and tools

  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
