Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to
till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, cultivate,
and harvest crops. Equipment that workers may be required to operate
includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements,
sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, and track-hoes. Job requires
participating in irrigation activities including laying pipe, walking
length of irrigation pipe to puncture it at set intervals, setting up
and operating irrigation equipment, clearing and maintaining\
irrigation ditches, operating well motors, operating and maintaining
pivots, draining excess water from fields, and monitoring fields to
check on and maintain adequate water supply to crops. Manual duties
include loading seed into planters; changing combine cutting heads;
rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant
varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; welding; performing
general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds,
buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are\
organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair,
clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery
and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. Employees
must have prior experience with welding and heavy duty mechanical
repairs on large equipment. There are few typical days and workers may
be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in
various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop,
weather, and field conditions. The\

based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on
the discretion of the employer.
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30
days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Job will
require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather
conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping,\
bending, or repetitive movements. Random criminal background checks may
occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed
to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers.
