Cyber Security Professional
Coilcraft is a successful, privately-held company in Cary, IL with a
worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components.
Coilcraft operates in various industries, including telecommunications,
computers, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer
electronics. We are seeking a Cyber Security Professional to join our IT
team

Responsibilities:
\
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits to identify
vulnerabilities and assess risks.
- Develop and implement robust security measures and protocols to
protect against cyber threats.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, and respond
promptly to mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement
security solutions that align with business objectives.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and
technologies, and recommend proactive measures to enhance security
posture.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on security best practices
and compliance requirements.
- Participate in incident response activities, including
investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies, procedures,
and documentation.

Qualifications:
\
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or
equivalent experience.
- Professional information security certification preferred, such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Proven experience in conducting security assessments, penetration
testing, and vulnerability management.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, encryption algorithms,
and security technologies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA,
PCI-DSS, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
think strategically and act tactically.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex
technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced
environment.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM,
IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the
cybersecurity field.
