Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. This role primarily involves handling a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including the processing and recording of numerical data, review and approval of financial documents, and the application of accounting and mathematical principles to work duties.

Responsibilities:

• Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records.

• Instruct staff on the classification, recording, and summarization of numerical and financial data.

• Review and approve bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.

• Accurately debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software.

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

• Apply accounting and mathematical principles in performing work tasks as needed.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.

• Operate computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related accounting software.

• Provide support and constructive performance feedback in a mentorship capacity.

• Manage your own time effectively and work independently. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

• Experience with database management and spreadsheets

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements

• Ability to review and manage financial data

• Familiarity with invoicing procedures and company policies

• Skills in using accounting software systems and performing ad hoc financial functions

• Experience with ledger management and financial records maintenance

• Strong written communication and critical thinking skills

• Knowledge of regulations related to contract labor services

• Familiarity with photocopying and scanning documents for record keeping

• Proficiency in using 'About Time' and other computer programs relevant to the job

• Experience in performing various accounting functions.
