The Controls Engineer I is responsible for the programming and implementation of PLC/HMI based control systems in a continuous processing environment and supports system commissioning and final documentation tasks on all assigned projects.

Also:

  • Provide support to optimize plant manufacturing control system processes. Troubleshoot electrical controls related process issues.
  • Support development of custom data interfaces to industrial equipment using both standard and proprietary protocols
  • Provide guidance to Control Technician(s) related to controls projects
  • Design report formulas with emphasis on both logical data presentation & overall report aesthetics as well as database structures based on requirements and needs
  • Develop SQL reports for industrial application, databases, and user interfaces for data entry and retrieval.
