Transporting various wide-load (over-sized) equipment and other tools
used for harvesting from field to field along the entirety of the
itinerary and as necessary, across state lines.
Applicants will possess a strong track record of safety and meeting all
state licensing and federal FMCSA requirements, including a class A CDL
license as well as twelve months verifiable over-sized load driving
experience. Other responsibilities may include operating self-propelled
equipment that reaps, harvests, threshes, swathes, or winnows crops such
as corn, wheat, milo; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to
equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and
repairing equipment and other tools; transporting crops to elevators,
silos, or other farmer designated storage areas.
Worksite is controlled/operated by the employer. Itinerary is estimated
based on normal conditions and is subject to change. Employer will
provide at no cost to workers an effective means, such as radio
transmitter, wireless device, or other types of electronic communication
systems, of communicating with persons capable of helping in case of an
emergency.
