OVERVIEW: A person in this position performs highly skilled work completing a variety of concrete maintenance, repair, and construction assignments in Public Works Operations. This person removes material, sets forms, finishes concrete, assures that job quality is performed in accordance with current specifications, and provides training to other concrete workers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED. Three (3) years of related experience in the field of concrete construction, to include concrete removal, placement, and finishing. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a valid State of Colorado Commercial Driver License Class B upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment. Incumbent is expected to obtain a Commercial Driver License Class A to achieve career progression in this classification series. Incumbents in this position must meet the Department of Transportation physical exam and drug and alcohol testing requirements. Must have a Flagger Certification. Must complete assigned training as required by the Department.
