Description
If you are a Mixed Signal Verification engineer with 4+ years of experience, Skyworks Cedar Rapids Design Center is looking for you! As a home to an elite team of RF professionals you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones in one of the most cutting edge and impactful industries helping people connect across the globe. Cedar Rapids, IA is a vibrant city with low traffic, low cost of living, quality schools, but plenty to do in the form of great restaurants, sports, live music, theatre, hiking, biking and more! Your job function will include but not be limited to creating generalized SystemVerilog UVM testbenches with full functionality coverage for power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, RF switches, and analog biasing. Your testbenches will use real number modeling to bring Analog and RF circuits into the digital simulator to verify hundreds of thousands of states very quickly. #LI-DB1
Responsibilities
Communicate with Analog and RF design engineers to understand functionality of circuits to be modeled and verified
Create verification plans for different types of die to guarantee full electrical connectivity and functionality specifying what tools to use when in design process
Write sub-circuit level SystemVerilog code with Voltage/Current tolerance checking, assertions, and acceptable level of accuracy to PDK model schematic
Write System Verilog UVM testbench code for subcircuit model VS schematic checking to verify sub-cells operate as expected and verify model accuracy
Write System Verilog UVM testbench code for die level verification checking digital, analog & RF functionality of die
Set up automated regression testing so all block level and die level checks are re-run with circuit updates
Investigate, demonstrate and create training documentation for new verification tools to be used by verification/design teams
Work with design teams to verify die before tape-out
Work with design teams to create test plans and scripts to prepare for lab characterization when parts return from fab
Mentor/train junior level engineers in verification best practices
Required Experience and Skills
BS & 5+ yrs (MS & 3+ yrs) experience in integrated circuit design/verification required
Expert in SystemVerilog and HDL programming languages
Expert in SystemVerilog UVM libraries
2+ years experience writing UVM testbenches for mixed signal verification
Good communicator and team player, ability to mentor/train junior engineers
Desired Experience and Skills
SystemVerilog Real Number Modeling experience
Experience in each of IC verification, design and lab test
Object Oriented Programming experience
Python programming experience
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
