Job Overview & Responsibilities

The primary role of the Agile Coach and planning SME is to provide the expertise and training necessary to support the agile framework and build the required culture to support lasting agility with individuals and teams within the organization. The Agile Coach evaluates and articulates the current state of agile maturity by assessing an organization or team's culture, structure, processes, and behaviors. This individual brings the relevant tools, processes, modes of thinking, and practices to increase agility and the associated value delivered to the individual programs while fostering continuous improvement and learning. They seek to further their knowledge and capabilities around all things related to high-performing teams, value delivery, and effective integrated planning. They are a coach, trainer, mentor, thought leader, and strategist. This individual focuses on building relationships, interactions, and a working environment that allows contributors to thrive as members of a high-performing team that drives innovation. This individual will need to influence individuals, teams, leaders, and organizations to regularly evaluate ways to improve efficiency, throughput, and speed to value while minimizing costs and improving overall qua They emphasize lean and agile practices to increase technical agility in support of improving flow and the delivery of value. The Agile Coach is knowledgeable about agile development, testing, and deployment approaches, providing guidance and expertise on when to leverage technical subject matter experts to develop appropriate capabilities and coach the team. An Agile Coach may grow to understand how to build an agile organization and, when appropriate, scale agile to support the delivery of large, complex systems. They understand how a lean-agile approach impacts the larger organization and can assess agility across talent, organization, flow, governance, and technical practices. They are focused on reducing waste and streamlining processes while improving business outcomes.

Required Education Bachelor

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Has experience helping an organization to scale their agile/lean implementation. Has proven ability to lead organizations (Senior Management - Executive) through planning and transformation. Has proven ability to articulate operating models that extend above the level of team(s). Has coached multiple delivery teams and integrated across multiple programs. Has deep knowledge of agile principles, practices, and frameworks, along with the experience to implement them at the individual, team, and organizational levels in various types of situations. Has an understanding of the pros/cons of various agile methodologies and when to use one method over another. Has experience implementing continuous improvement practices, Lean Design Thinking, and/or other modern development models. Has proven ability to articulate the use cases for tools typically used for Product Management.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background and experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and in Cost Management/Planning/Scheduling. Must have demonstrated the appropriate communication skills to interact successfully with program managers, leaders, and Agilists. This candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize program and customer requirements, execute personal and company commitments and deliver results on time in a demanding environment. The depth and breadth of the candidate planning knowledge base, leadership skills, and interpersonal and presentation skills must be proven and demonstrable. Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $146,879.00 - $229,467.00
