Egan Company Building Automation Engineer Intern in Champlin, Minnesota

Overview: Egan Company is seeking candidates for a part-time Building Automation Engineer Intern role located in Champlin, MN to join our team! The Building Automation Engineer Intern will gain insight & experience in design, installation, service, and project management of temperature control and building automation systems. Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Building Automation Engineer Intern include but are not limited to the following: Assist in engineering work of temperature control/automation systems for both Plan/Spec and Design/Build projects. Work closely with Sales/Account Managers to assist in delivery of engineered systems in line with their expectations. Assist project team to plan, setup, and manage construction projects. Assist in creating project submittals/installation documentation. Work with Project Managers and installation teams to deliver systems as designed. Provide technical support to both project and service technicians. Assist in development of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for end-users. Become familiar with the materials, equipment, and components of the technical systems installed by Egan's trades. Assist in creating operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals at project completion. Provide owner training on installed systems. Position Requirements: Currently enrolled & in progress for a degree in a related program or field. 3.0 GPA or higher given priority consideration. Qualifications: Interest and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks and learn new things. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers. Excellent MS Office and Google Suite skills and ability/desire to learn new software systems.
