Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for oversight of the hospital-based grant funded oral health program, including strategic planning, implementation and evaluation, meeting IRB research requirements, and coordination of protocols and activities with Dignity Health in-patient providers, leaders, and staff and dental clinic staff, dental hygiene students, and school faculty. Additionally, this position will be responsible for collaboration with Community Health leadership, designated hospital departments, leaders, and community partners. Additional responsibilities include working with the hospital foundation as requested for grant funding opportunities, subject matter expertise, and reporting. Position may include expansion of the program into other departments and/or facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic and analytical leadership to identify, develop, and prioritize hospital-based oral health and community health programs clinical strategies.

  • Create and execute growth and development of hospital-based oral health and community health programs

  • As requested, work with Manager of Dental Clinic and foundation on key objectives to sustain program that include subject matter expertise into grant applications, required reports and fiscal management

  • Ensure program IRB requirements are met: protocol development, data collection, outcome tracking and evaluation

  • Establishes policy and procedures and monitor compliance

  • Drives engagement across cross-functional teams, supporting workflows to create and execute on project deliverables.

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, providers and staff for program integration, research integrity and workflows for patient care in alignment with hospital quality and safety standards

Grant and Research Management:

  • Works collaboratively and communicates with Research Administration, Research Finance, IT, etc. to coordinate transactional tasks; progress reporting, status reports, etc.

  • For funded research grants, collaborates with Research Administration and hospital statistician on Institutional Review Board approval, determination of measures and methods for data collection, evaluation of findings and analysisof data, and writing content for publications and presentations.

  • Collaborate with Community Health, Marketing, Research and Foundation for production of collateral and materials for stakeholder awareness and advocacy for policy change.

  • Seeks grant opportunities and contributes to program development and writing of grant applications to secure funding.

  • Develops vision for expansion of research and programs into other departments and/or facilities.

  • Responsible for developing and managing the life cycle (pertaining to funding related activities) of assigned projects including project plans and schedules.

  • Develops and negotiates timelines based on resource estimates and budgets.

  • Generates reports and metrics assuring accurate record keeping, data collection, and timely reporting of activities for research funded activities and grant recipients

Qualifications

Minmum:

Experience:

  • 5 years oral healthcare related experience3 years management experience

  • Preferred: Experience

  • Leading hospital and/or academic setting for clinically-based transformation projects and business developmentExperience with IRB/Research programsWorking knowledge of grant lifecycle

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, dentistry or research

  • Project Management Certification or degree

  • Masters degree in Healthcare sector or public health

Licensure:

AZ: Dental Hygiene

Special Skills:

Adjunct faculty experience with students in healthcare field (dental hygiene, nursing,

etc)

Pay Range

$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
