Our client, a leading provider of innovative defense products, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be part of the procurement team supporting critical defense and security applications. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Chandler, AZ
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE plus full benefits
What's the Job?
Manage the procurement of materials, components, and services, ensuring compliance with government regulations and contract requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and timelines.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
What's Needed?
Extensive experience with government purchasing and federal contracts.
Knowledge of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) requirements.
Thorough understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable regulations.
Proven ability to develop and execute cost-reduction strategies while maintaining quality and compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
