Job Description Summary

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehousing and planning activities and supervising all warehouse associates. Candidate is required to implement and comply with all safety, quality, human resource and housekeeping policies and procedures. The person in this position is also responsible for meeting and exceeding the Company’s financial goals and production objectives, and continuously improving the Company’s people and processes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage activities of warehouse operations both onsite and offsite along with daily plan of manpower

  • Lead Daily Management and Genba Boards (SQDIPC) to improve team performance for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and productivity and work with team for daily problem solving and corrective actions.

  • Support EH&S efforts of the facility and ensure implementation of EH&S management. systems and comply to company EH&S rules and standards.

  • Supports/leads all inventory related kaizens and continuous improvement activities.

  • Conduct physical stock audit and stock accuracy along with working closely to purchasing team.

  • Ensures all incoming goods receipts are properly handled, i.e. quantities correct, part numbers, re-work, and purchase order numbers from the supplier match original documents.

  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data along with leading physical inventory.

  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and issuing corrective actions to employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

  • Confer with management, other supervisors, and/or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, conflict resolution.

  • Responsible for oversite of all training of inventory associates on career path such as but not limited to SAP, forklift certification training, etc.

  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.

  • Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.

  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.

  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving, issuing, and transferring production materials.

  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.

  • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the storing, organizing, and loading of product.

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment (OR high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience supervising warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment)

  • Experience in using/creating Smartsheets

  • Continuous improvement mindset, Lean manufacturing knowledge and Experience in Kaizens/Improvement
