The Associate Benefits Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Well-being & Benefits team is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Benefits Professional to join their team. In this role, the selected applicant will be responsible for supporting the administration and management of Humana’s comprehensive associate benefit plans and clinical programs. This individual will leverage their experience and expertise with employer offered benefits terminology and processes, project management capabilities, and effective communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, cost-effective benefits for Humana’s associates. This position requires an initiative-taking individual who can effectively manage multiple projects, collaborate cross functionally, and manage vended partners. This role will be supporting external partnerships, benefit eco-system design and clinical program experience.
Responsibilities:
Administration & Support:
Assist in the administration of employer offered benefit plans and programs.
Respond to associate inquiries regarding benefit programs, eligibility, and enrollment procedures.
Assist in managing and maintaining project repositories via SharePoint.
Project Management:
Assist in leading and managing benefit-related projects and programs from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Assist in the development and management of project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, and status reports.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
Evaluate and implement program and/or process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor Management:
Serve as a primary or secondary point of contact for vended benefit partners.
Assist in monitoring vendor performance and ensure contractual agreements (i.e., performance guarantees) are achieved.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve associate inquiries, issues, and/or concerns.
Participate in vendor selection and contract negotiations.
Education & Awareness:
Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations to associates, stakeholders, and vended partners.
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date program content for associates on the Well-being & Benefits Center (go/WBC), and Associate Support Center (go/ASC).
Facilitate meetings, presentations, and training sessions related to benefit programs and opportunities.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Assist in analyzing benefit data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Generate reports on benefits utilization, costs, and other key metrics.
Assist in the develop of benefits budgets and forecasts.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of employer offered benefits terminology and processes.
Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in working with external partnerships and benefit eco-system design.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Experience with process and/or experience mapping via Lucid.
Experience working with vended benefit partners.
Strong analytical and program solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience in working with external partnerships and benefit eco-system design.

Vendor Management: Experience in management relationships with external vendors.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$65,000 - $88,600 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
