As the Director of Strategy Advancement, this leader won’t just be leading a team, but also building the strategy and refining the way we work across the organization. The Director, Strategy Advancement will be responsible for three major buckets: strategy – liaison between (PPNO) & Markets, project management, and optimization. The Director will serve as strategist, Consultant, and Implementer for the senior leadership team, as well as drive efforts in support of organization and teaming effectiveness across PPNO touchpoints. This role will take point on all strategy and interventions that connect to markets (Medicare and Medicaid). This involves developing executive level decks and the ability to deliver/present to the top levels of leadership for the Insurance Segment.

This role will also ensure streamlined activities across the Enterprise and within the PPNO organization based on PPNO priorities. You will be a liaison and represent PPNO vision and outcomes to Medicare/Medicaid. This role will lead the project management team that supports enterprise-wide initiatives as well as inside PPNO. You will contribute to the effective business cadence and continuous optimization of routines, in pursuit of leanness, agility and impact.

This role will be responsible for being the face and speaking to PPNO high visibility projects and topics with Market Leaders. This role will be responsible for deck creation and delivery of content on calls for the PPNO organization and aligned partner calls.

In this role you will:

  • Develop PPNO strategies in support of large initiatives (technical and non-technical) to ensure upstream and downstream alignment with Markets

  • Represent the entire PPNO leadership team on larger implementations with partner groups that impact upstream and downstream with markets.

  • Strategy on prioritization of projects for the PPNO organization

  • Make decisions on impact and interaction model and how they influence upstream and downstream with the markets

  • Advancement for Medicare Markets – ensuring market and PPNO vision/strategy are aligned with end goals that support end to end process

  • Provides strategic direction and leadership to multiple teams across the program to ensure solutions meet the needs of multiple businesses and associated customers and aligns with company’s goal

  • Act as a strong advocate of our new ways of working helping the organization adapt from a change management perspective

  • Play a critical role in influencing senior leadership on the future-state

  • Make decisions and set agenda for delivering on outcomes, and articulate barriers and challenges and create strategic scenarios for analysis and discussion.

  • Contribute to the effective business cadence and continuous optimization of routines, in pursuit of leanness, agility and impact.

  • Provide meeting preparation, follow up and support to Senior Leaders for Market Meetings, Town Halls, and internal/external customer meetings and any other significant events.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 8 to 10 years or more of corporate, business, and/or organizational influence & change management experience

  • 5 or more years of leadership experience with multi-disciplinary teams of high performing subject matter expert talent

  • 5 or more years’ experience leading large-scale change efforts across multiple functions or business units.

  • 5 or more years leading Complex program and project management initiatives with ability to synthesize inputs across multiple disciplines and ensure a quality output

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms

  • Ability to influence and drive change across large, matrix organization

  • Experience connecting across the segment and enterprise to leverage and maximize Humana’s strengths and capabilities to improve the experience

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance short term needs with long-term goals.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$168,000 - $231,000 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
