The TEAM for West Virginia Children has a job opening with Healthy Families Mountain State as we expand into Kanawha County. Healthy Families Mountain State is a voluntary In-Home Family Education program for families who are expecting or have a baby. Family Support Specialists work with families in their home to provide child development and parenting information, link families to resources, and promote positive parent-child interaction. For more information about HFMS, visit https://teamwv.org/healthy-families/ JOB DUTIES: Supervise a team of up to five Family Support Specialists, providing individual administrative, clinical, and reflective supervision. Develop and maintain professional relationships with community resources. Serve on appropriate community and state groups. Assist in upholding program standards for accreditation. Maintain required data collection systems for grant reporting. Facilitate regular team meetings. Coordinate and oversee logistics of participant group activities. Provide community education presentations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in human services or fields related to working with children and families, or Bachelors degree in these fields with 3 years of relevant experience, or less than a Bachelors degree but with commensurate HFA experience A solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision Experience supporting culturally diverse communities/families Experience in home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention services Willingness to engage in building reflective practice; experience with reflective practice preferred
