Description
We are in search of a Desktop Support Technician with expertise in Active Directory, Windows OS, Office 365 administration, and hardware/software troubleshooting. As a key member of our IT team, you will ensure the efficient operation of our desktop computing environment, offer technical support to end-users, and help maintain our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems, predominantly Windows OS.
Administer Active Directory services, managing user accounts, group policies, and security settings.
Handle Office 365 administration tasks, including user setup, email management, and license allocation.
Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops and related devices.
Work collaboratively with other IT teams to address complex technical challenges.
Maintain detailed records of support incidents, resolutions, and IT inventory.
Assist with IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
Deliver end-user training on desktop computing practices and software applications.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of Active Directory administration, including user management and group policies.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 7/10) and Office 365 administration.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software platforms.
Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are a plus.
