Description
Robert Half is looking for a Part-Time Accounting Clerk to work in the Manufacturing industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / contract position based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. What you get to do every single day
Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers
Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
QuickBooks experience required
Account reconciliation experience
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Microsoft Excel experience
Outstanding data entry skills
