The Program Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to direct all phases of a development program for the Immunoassay product line.

This position is part of the Program Management Department and will be located ON-SITE in Chaska, Minnesota, reporting to the Senior Manager of Program Management, Immunoassay.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Use Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and concepts to maximize efficiency and quality for critical-to-the-business product launches, communication, budget, schedule, resources, and performance to QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) metrics for the programs

  • Motivate by example, mentor and develop team members to ensure common understanding of the process and project goals

  • Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and utilize advanced skills in leadership, communication, influence, cross-cultural awareness, negotiation and conflict resolution.

  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate frequently with Manufacturing, Engineering, Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing, in addition to other functional groups.

  • Make or facilitate project trade-off decisions within the boundaries of the approved project contract. Strategize with Business Unit management to define, support, and implement functional infrastructure to support the needs of the business globally.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Engineering, Medical device business management or related field with preference for 9 plus years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree with preference for 7 years of the same, or a Doctoral degree with preference for 4 years' experience. MBA is a significant plus.

  • 5 years of related work experience in scientific or engineering management preferred; Prefer a minimum of 1-3 years in program or project management.

  • Strong motivational leadership skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority.

  • ISO and FDA regulated environment experience is recommended.

  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) up to 10% of the time.

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar certification

  • Experience with Immunoassay diagnostic products

  • Experience with diagnostic product commercialization efforts
