The clinical department at Venture Forthe focuses on HCBS (Home and Community Based Services)/CORE (Community Orientation Recovery and Empowerment Services) programs under the direction of the Office of Mental Health. The goal of the CORE/HCBS program derives around the focus of increased behavioral health and addiction recovery through an outpatient system. This includes providing clients with the tools, resources, and skills they can utilize to help in their recovery journey. We can proudly say that we have helped our clients reach milestones such as obtaining a higher education degree, grow relationships with friend and family members and regain the ability to be fully independent in the community.As a licensed professional in the mental health field you will be given the opportunity to make a dramatic difference in the lives of individuals with mental health struggles who need assistance in their journey of reacclimating into society.The CORE Lead staff will work directly with the CORE supervisor, CORE scheduling and CORE staff to ensure that all department best practices are consistently met. There are a wide range of responsibilities which will require the CORE Lead Staff to engage with clinical leads, HCBS staff and clients across different regions. A day in in the life of the CORE Lead Staff will entail a presence in the community providing services to our clients, providing training to individuals within the department across regions, supervisions and assessments, as well as completing all documentation to remain in compliance. POSITION SUMMARY: Provide HCBS and CORE services for clients as needed in person and remotelyProvide individual clinical supervision including case consultation to address individuals with increasing psychiatric needs, referral to alternative services, risk management, and addressing any other health and safety concerns. Ensuring regular availability and check-in with a clinical supervisor supports quality care, staff morale and retention, and overall professional development.This consultation may also be provided when an individual is not making expected progress and the direct service staff requires guidance and support to adjust their interventions. Responsible for approval and monitoring clinical department documentation processesComplete approval or guide staff on revisions for individual service plansCoordinate with staff support team to identify opportunities to improve staff documentation and outline specific plans with timelines / monitoringCollaborate on complaint & incidents with department teamMaintain tracking process and related documentation for all complaints and incidents reported to the Clinical DepartmentAssist with investigation of complaints or incidents as assigned by Clinical LeadsCoordinate communication with clinical leads to VF departments such as HR or Compliance or external organizationsAssisting team in the development of workflows, documentation standards and inner agency standards/policies.Complete LPHA recommendations for new clients and document required information to start CORE services. Coordinate with managed care organizations and CORE outreach team to establish contact with clients to determine CORE services and submit documentation.QUALIFICATIONS: MUST possess one of the following: Current License in New York in for Creative Arts Therapist, Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, Physician, Physician Assistant, Psychiatrist, Registered Professional Nurse, or Social WorkerAt least on year of experience of providing adult Behavioral Health servicesThorough knowledge of the scope of the CORE, HCBS program and NY OMH regulationsAbility to read and understand documents.Ability to speak effectively and professionally with colleagues & employees.Exceptional organizational writing, interpersonal skills & communicationCUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Maintains appropriate office presence; Responsible and cooperative with participants/families, supervisors, fellow employees, and providers;Maintains friendly working atmosphere; Maintains professional attitude;Maintains professional appearance;Accepts constructive criticism as evidenced by appropriate changes in behavior; Utilizes established channels of communication;Recognizes, accepts and respects people as individuals;Recognizes limitations and seeks assistance appropriately. Minimum Salary: 63,000 Maximum Salary: 70,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
