Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts office.

This position is expected to begin May 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work under the supervision and direct responsible charge of a senior-level Structural Engineer.

  • Perform engineering related structural design using both hand and computer calculations.

  • Develop technical specifications, plans, elevations, sections, and details.

  • Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices.

  • Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant job experience, work or internship, is a plus.

  • EIT/FE Certification or ability to obtain prior to start date

  • Experience as an Intern, Co-op, or other professional development

  • Experience or education in reinforced concrete design.

  • Experience with Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, etc.

  • Ability to work with a diverse team located in the Chelmsford Design Center.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.

  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible, along with the ability to adapt to project deadlines

  • Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $66,560.00 - $77,347.03.
