Chart Industries Manager Stores & Logistics in Chennai, India

Main purpose of job

  • To Implement material storage standard and triggering mechanism

  • Implement best practices in dispatch area

  • To maintain physical inventory without stock deviation

  • Ensure delivery of material on time to production

  • Has to coordinate with freight forwarder for import / Export logistics

  • Capable enough to plan container, transport & packaging requirement

  • Able to train team and develop their skills

Accountabilities

Ensure zero stock variation

Daily review of stores KPI and initiate actions to improve Clearing Incoming material and accounting on time.

Triggering shortage items on time Creating audit plan for daily routine & nonroutine activities and ensuring compliance Promotes safety through active participation and support of company policies and procedures

Diploma / Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Production Stream Experience of working in a customized / engineered to order business leading Stores & Dispatch function Experience of implementing continuous improvement techniques built on the principles of lean manufacturing, with demonstrable results derived from their application in allow volume manufacturing environment Experience of working as a team leader of a cross-functional team and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment Knowledge of Kanban system Excellent oral and written communication skills–able to communicate at all levels of the organisation. Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software including; Word, Excel, Projects, and Outlook Working knowledge of ERP system Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives
