Role Definition

Manages the development, implementation and operation of a supply stream for a specific product group. Incumbent is responsible to achieve strategic capacity planning targets, including improvements the establishment of capacity planning requirements, agility requirements, inventory requirements, and supply chain assessments for a supplier.

Incumbent is required to lead a team to work and communicate effectively with diverse, multi-functional partners to apply the capacity planning process and lead team efforts to develop gap closure plans for suppliers.

Incumbent is required to guide both direct reports and partners take an enterprise-wide view of supply chain and capacity planning processes and tools, as well as leverage a thorough knowledge of manufacturing and agility to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams across functions and divisions. Incumbent leads team efforts to gather and analyze data on value stream/product family level to define capacity and agility requirements for each supplier based on statistical modeling and product insights.

Incumbent will lead a team that leverages statistical data from a diverse suite of tools and sources to drive capacity planning efforts with key suppliers. This position coordinates with the procurement manager in the documentation of this data. This work requires knowledge of complex statistical concepts and tools. The incumbent must be able to lead work teams consisting of members from multiple functions, driving collaboration and communication across divisions, including Purchasing, IT Support personnel, product group personnel, and global supply chain members.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and managing complex supply chain streams with global reach.

• Lead a cross functional projects focused on supplier capacity requirements, agility, and demand forecast visibility

• Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with clients, business partners and internal functions. Incumbent is required to take an enterprise-wide view of supply chain and capacity planning processes and tools, as well as leverage a thorough knowledge of manufacturing and agility to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams across functions and divisions. Incumbent leads team efforts to gather and analyze data on value stream/product family level to define capacity and agility requirements for each supplier based on statistical modeling and product insights.

• Performing analysis of supply chain trends, sales, forecast, on time delivery, and inventory strategies and recommending improvements to the supply chain performance. Incumbent uses statistical data from the EPP-S toolset to drive capacity planning efforts with key suppliers. This position coordinates with the procurement manager in the documentation of this data into the EPP-S tool. This work requires knowledge of complex statistical concepts and tools. The incumbent must be able to lead work teams consisting of members from multiple functions, driving collaboration and communication across divisions, including Purchasing, IT Support personnel, product group personnel, and global supply chain members.

Degree Requirement

• College or university degree related to Supply Chain, Engineering, or related technical degree is required.

• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible supply chain, manufacturing, or procurement job experience

• Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering processes.

• A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.

Supply Chain Management - PHA: Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials, components and supplies, and delivery of finished products.

• Demonstrates experience with managing the complete supply chain management process.

• Quantifies and discusses benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.

• Discusses capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.

• Oversees supply chain finance activities and measurements of effectiveness.

• Participates in supply chain network design or redesign projects or processes.

• Creates and monitors mechanisms for process and system integration with clients and partners.

Contingency and Disaster Recovery Management: Knowledge of manufacturing contingency and disaster recovery approaches, practices, tools and techniques; ability to develop and administrate contingency and disaster recovery plans.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Adheres to related processes and procedures in a contingency plan.

• Executes established procedures necessary to continue operations in an emergency.

• Schedules, supports, and documents disaster recovery trials and tests.

• Documents contingency and disaster recovery procedures.

• Participates in the design and development of a basic contingency and disaster recovery plan for specific environment.

Vendor/Supplier Evaluations & Certification: Knowledge of vendor/supplier evaluations and certification; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for evaluating, selecting and certifying vendors, suppliers and partners.
