The Opportunity | Manufacturing Technician / Operator (1st Shift)
Responsibilities :
Set-up of the process cell using various types of robotic and optical controls
Operation of the high-energy laser system after suitable training
Reading and understanding work instructions
Working in a small, hi tech job shop environment with flexibility to support other tasks as necessary
Performing preventative maintenance tasks after suitable training - Senior Operators required to training and assist lower level Operators
Experience in aerospace related Industries
Laser or CNC/NC machining experience helpful
Robotic programming (ABB robots) or PLC experience helpful
Aerospace manufacturing or FAA repair station experience helpful
Performing work that requires bending, sitting and standing. Some tasks must be conducted on 3-5 step platform
Working with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux based computers and programs
Qualifications:
Due to the nature of work performed at this site, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government secret clearance, incumbents must be a US Citizen
Some experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive machine operation, production environment preferable
Experience in aerospace related industries a definite plus
Must be fluent in the English language, demonstrating good verbal, written and comprehension skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and/or Linux computer systems
Demonstrated ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities
Ability to work well independently and in a team oriented environment
Strong willingness to work overtime hours as assigned/required to meet deadlines
Must pass a standard eye examination. Near vision: Snellen 14/18 or better (20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches or greater, Ortho Rater 8 or equivalent)
Education:
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience a must.
