Welder - Structural and pulse experience
Pay $45 an hour with $140 in per diem
In Newport News, VA (At the biggest shipyard in the nation!)
2 year contract (Ability to leave at any point)
Benefits and time off available. We are able to help with the hotel your first two weeks out there. We partner with hotels to get great rates by the Shipyard.
About
We are seeking an experienced Structural Welder with expertise in Pulse Arc Welding.
Must be comfortable with a weld test if you get the offer.
Perform multi-pass, all position fillet, and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes.
Conduct welding tasks in a physically demanding environment, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.
Perform Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
Properly use fillet and butt weld gauges.
Pass all position, Multi-pass Butt Weld, Welder Qualification Tests in accordance with MIL-STD-248D standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
