Job Description
This position involves preventative maintenance and repair of hospital facilities. You will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for tasks such as drywall repair, door and lock repairs, changing light bulbs and air filters, and troubleshooting/repairing basic plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and water fountains.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on hospital facilities.
Repair drywall, doors, and locks.
Change light bulbs and air filters.
Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and water fountains.
Essential Skills
Experience with facilities maintenance.
Proficiency in plumbing, repair, and painting.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Plumbing experience is highly preferred but not required.
Skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry are highly sought after but not required.
Familiarity with utilizing an online work order system is a plus.
Work Environment
Candidate will be performing general maintenance duties in a hospital environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm. There are no on-call duties during the probation period, but once converted, you will be on call for one week per month. There is not a lot of overtime, but you may be asked to stay beyond normal hours occasionally if working on something critical.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
