Job Description

Theater Promotions & Operations Assistant

The Promotions and Operations Assistant supports the Robsham Theater Arts Center (RTAC) and has significant responsibilities in the theater's operations, including communications, budget and finance, house management, management of the online ticketing system portal, web management and supervision of student staff. In addition, this position serves as the back-up to the Box Office Manager; oversees the preparation of marketing materials to promote RTAC and the purchase of tickets for theater events and student programs, including electronic and printed communications; manages the “front of house" production student staff; and oversees day-to-day financial operations, including sales verifications, reconciliations, and PeopleSoft transactions.

Each staff member in the Division of Student Affairs is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.

This is a regular, full-time, benefits eligible position that works 39 weeks per year (mid August through mid May) - summers off!

Hiring Range: $26.76/hour to $33.43/hour. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

This is an administrative support position and candidates would excel in this role if they have excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and have familiarity with, and an interest in learning more about Google Workspace tools, Microsoft Office Suite, web design and other computer/software experience.

In addition preferred skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Theater, or related field

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a theater setting

  • Project management

  • Student supervisory experience

  • Event and facility management experience

  • Knowledge of Ticketing Systems, EMS, PeopleSoft and Kronos preferred
