ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Resy Billing Operations Sr. Manager is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable function while having oversight on the Financial and Accounting aspects of Resy’s business, acting as a key connectivity point between multiple partners. This role plays a crucial part in managing the Resy P&L, payment processor entries, accruals, month-end accounting, and bookings in the General Ledger (GL). The Billing Manager will bridge gaps between Billing, Finance, Controllership, Tax, and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless financial operations and compliance. Additionally, this role requires a strong general accounting background, revenue recognition expertise, and the ability to lead process improvements in accounts receivables, invoicing, and third-party vendor management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drive business continuity, address known gaps in technical expertise in billing systems, and financial software evaluation when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Management:

o Colleague will be accountable for:

▪ Managing the full-cycle accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing,

payment collections, and reconciliations.

▪ Ensuring accurate, complete and timely system reports for use in downstream

accounting processes

▪ Ensuring proper payment processor entries, month-end accruals, and accurate posting

to the G/L

▪ Overseeing and assisting in credit and collections processes, minimizing overdue

accounts and ensuring timely follow-ups.

Financial & Accounting Oversight:

o Colleague will be responsible and consulted on:

▪ Ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, month-end close, and revenue recognition

processes

▪ Ensuring accuracy of credit card statements and migration to an invoicing system.

▪ Managing and assisting in month-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are

accurately recorded.

▪ Partner with Controllership to ensure compliance with accounting policies and

regulatory requirements.

▪ Serving as a primary liaison between Resy Billing and Amex Finance, maintaining

alignment on financial data and reporting.

  • Process Enhancements

o Build and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounts receivables, billing,

and invoicing processes.

o On an as needed basis, evaluate and implement Billing and Finance software solutions,

ensuring alignment with Salesforce, quoting, and billing platforms.

o Own and improve third-party vendor management related to financial operations.

o Drive process ownership and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

o Oversee project management initiatives related to accounts receivables and billing

improvements.

o Ensuring controls proactively and facilitating a systemic integration with Oracle.

  • People Leadership, Cross-Functional Connectivity & Stakeholder Engagement:

o Maintain connectivity between Billing and key Resy functions, ensuring smooth financial

operations:

▪ Facilitate audit processes and manage financial info sharing with stakeholders.

o Assist with leading and mentoring the Resy Billing team, driving performance and

professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting, with at least 2 years in aleadership or managerial role.

  • Experience with payment processing systems, quoting, and billing platforms.

  • Hands-on experience in month-end close, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.

  • Experience vetting and implementing Billing and Finance-related software.

Technical Skills:

  • Preferred: Strong proficiency in Avalara and/or Vertex for tax compliance and automation.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, financial analysis, and reporting.

  • Ability to work hands-on with financial systems and processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to bridge financial, technical, and operational gaps across multiple teams.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
